For Immediate Release February 25, 2003 Willamette Coin Club Installs New Officers, Announces Role as ANA Show Host The Willamette Coin Club featured installation of newly elected officers at its February meeting. Larry Gaye presented outgoing president Rob Retz with a past president's medal. Retz has guided the club as president for six years and has served as bourse chairman for the past seven club shows including five Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association conventions held in Portland, Oregon. According to incoming club president Larry Gaye; "Rob has done a demanding job with grace and sheer dedication in his dual role as club president and bourse chairman." Gaye is reprising his role as president for the third time since the club was founded in 1986. Newcomer to the role of club officer as vice-president is Howard Spindel. Howard will also continue his role as club web master (www.pdxcoinclub.org), a job he has performed with dedication and talent for the past two years. Seasoned veteran Phil Lockwood will continue his role as treasurer in the combined portfolio of secretary-treasurer. This will be a busy year for the Willamette Coin Club as it prepares
to host the 2004 ANA National Money Show in Portland, Oregon March 26-28,
2004. Committees have been formed and "We are ready to go" according
to show General Chairman Larry Gaye.
