This is a 1935 doubled die reverse (DDR) Buffalo (Indian Head) nickel. The letters in the words "Five Cents" are strongly doubled. This variety catalogs as FS#5c-018. It is estimated by the Cherrypickers' Guide that there are 500 or less of this variety available. The variety is extremely rare in any grade above VF. Pictured below is a PCGS AU55. Only about 10 examples are known in mint state.
